As of the beginning of November 2024, the Export Credit Agency of Ukraine assumed UAH 1.062 billion of insurance liability under foreign economic activity contracts and loans issued by partner banks to Ukrainian entrepreneurs for the execution of export contracts, according to the ECA.
ECA’s insurance liability is the total amount that the agency undertakes to reimburse its clients in the event of an insured event. This amount takes into account all insurance contracts currently in force.
Thus, during this period, one hryvnia of ECA’s insurance liability is converted into UAH 8.17 of future export revenue.
The Export Credit Agency of Ukraine is a government agency that supports Ukrainian exporters by insuring risks associated with foreign economic activity. The main goal of the agency is to promote export development by providing financial protection to enterprises against unforeseen events that may affect the fulfillment of contracts or payment for delivered products.
